Susan Simpson Bunn Mullins is a 6th generation Floridian born in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ms. Mullins' father was in the military which led her to places all over the world including living in Germany and Ethiopia.
Ms. Mullins is a graduate of Converse College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics and a Related Field in German. Ms. Mullins attended two semesters at the Goethe Institut in Rothenburg ob de Tauber for German studies. Ms. Mullins also recently received a certification in Human Resource Management through Spartanburg Community College.
Ms. Mullins worked for Blockbuster Entertainment for over 6 years. While there, Ms. Mullins was the Central Trainer for the Southeast, District Manager in St. Pete and Clearwater, FL and the Payroll Supervisor (for WJB Video). Later, Ms. Mullins was the Accounting Manager for Gateway Additive Company (Lubrizol) and eventually started her own Accounting Consulting business prior to joining the Spartanburg County Foundation.
Ms. Mullins is a Sustainer of the Junior League of Spartanburg; a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg and has been elected to sit on the School Improvement Council with Jesse Boyd Elementary and on the Board of the Trinity UM Children’s Board. In addition, Ms. Mullins has served as Treasurer on the Music Guild and various other social and volunteer clubs and committees throughout Spartanburg.
