Program Officer
Omri Mota is the Program Officer for The Spartanburg County Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Mota served as the Department/Academy Chaplain for Miami Union Academy and the Associate Pastor of Pilgrims Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Miami, Florida. During his time with Miami Union Academy, Mr. Mota esbablished a leadership program, cultivated a bi-lingual public speaking campaign, trained students in leadership and life skills, served on the School's Disciplinary Committee, developed a mentoring program for young men, and created a partnership with Hands On Miami in which he served as the School's liaison.
Additionally, Mr. Mota served as the Area Manager for Miami Dade's Summer Meals Program, at which time he was responsible for managing site supervisors, directing food distribution, and ensuring that local parks met state food distribution and consumption regulations.
Mr. Mota holds a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Antillean Adventist University and is currently pursuing an MBA from Clemson University.
Mr. Mota and his wife, Dr. Aileen Treto, relocated to Spartanburg in June.
