Jennifer C. Evins

Past Chairwoman

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from Hanover College.  Mrs. Evins then moved to Spartanburg, and has since utilized her leadership skills to make a significant impact in our community.  She has served on the Boards of The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg, Junior League of Spartanburg, Ballet Spartanburg, and the Piedmont Interstate Fair Association.  Mrs. Evins also served as Commissioner for the City of Spartanburg’s Human Relations.  She has volunteered at Regional Hospice, Spartanburg Historical Society, Spartanburg Humane Society and Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Evins has been recognized for her civic and community involvement.  She recently received the David W. Reid Award for Achievement in the Arts, and was honored with the Service to Mankind Award from the Spartanburg Uptown Sertoma Club in 2003.

Currently, Mrs. Evins Chairs the Cultural Facilities Planning Committee for The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg, Co-Chairs the Capital Campaign for Spartanburg’s Center for Arts, Science and History, serves as Vice-Chairman for Leadership Spartanburg’s Board of Regents, and sits on the Advisory Boards of Wofford College and First Citizens Bank. 

Mrs. Evins is married to Alex Evins, a partner in the law firm of Parker Poe Adams and Bernstein, and they have a daughter, Emily, and son, Samuel.
