Jacqueline A. Ballenger, “Allie,” is a native of Spartanburg and serves as the Donor Services/Development Associate of The Spartanburg County Foundation.  Ms. Ballenger works alongside Mr. Dargan, president and CEO, to develop strategies to facilitate the asset development and growth of the Foundation, including prospect identification and research, donor cultivation and stewardship, database management, and various development initiatives. 

Before assuming her position with the Foundation, Ms. Ballenger was the Communications Coordinator for Denny’s Corporation, Inc.  During her time with Denny’s, she was responsible for communicating with the Spartanburg-based chain’s over 1,600 restaurants and franchisees on a daily basis, as well as during new product launches.  Ms. Ballenger also served as the Organization’s

internal communications contact to corporate field employees.

Ms. Ballenger is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications. 

Ms. Ballenger was heavily involved in Student Life while attending USC, serving as a member of the Presbyterian Student Association (PSA), Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), and Greek Life Recruitment. 

Ms. Ballenger is a member of the Junior League of Spartanburg, Spartanburg Young Professionals and Arts X Society.  She is also an alumna of Delta Delta Delta sorority, in which she held numerous positions, and Rho Lambda Leadership Society of Sorority Women. 

Ms. Ballenger enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time outdoors with her dog, Lillie.
